design: Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec, 2008

The Steelwood chair is the product of Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec's latest collaboration with Magis. It utilizes two very conventional materials, steel and wood, to achieve a simple and confortable chair, which is aimed to become more delicate through time. Its silhouette makes it an easy chair, adaptable to any place from a café terrace to a cozy dinner table. Made of steel plate and solid beech wood, the chair requires almost ten successive stamping stages in order to achieve its final curvature.

Materials: Frame in painted steel plate available in red, white or black and legs in natural or painted beech (red, white or black).
